Teamdash offers automatic interview call transcriptions and summaries for Microsoft Teams users. The transcriptions are generated automatically during the video call. Teamdash AI will provide recruiters with a call summary, interview details, and critical insights.

Adding the integration

The AI-powered transcriptions and summaries are available as an optional feature for your MS Teams calls integration.

  • Navigate under the Integration menu

  • Add new or edit and MS Teams calls integration

  • Check the option "Enable AI-powered transcriptions and summaries for meetings". This will allow Teamdash to use AI to create transcriptions and summaries for interviews conducted over Teams.

  • Save

Saving the integration will open a Microsoft authentification flow, where you’ll be asked to grant permission for events and recordings. You might need Microsoft Admin approval to finalize the setup.

Activating the transcriptions for calls

With the integration enabled, recruiters can always choose when to apply the call transcriptions and summaries for interviews and when not.

In the first step of the Schedule Interviews flow, Teamdash offers an option to turn on "AI-generated analysis" This toggle lets you decide whether you want AI transcription and analysis for that specific interview.

  • Toggle On The AI will transcribe the conversation and create a summary, which will be saved under the candidate profile for easy review.

  • Toggle Off: The interview will proceed without an automatically started recording. Teamdash will not provide a transcript and call summary for the interview.

What happens when I enable this option?

  • Real-Time Transcription: At the start of the interview, the system will prompt you to choose the language in which the interview will be conducted. Once the language is selected, the AI assistant will listen during the interview and create a written record of everything said in that language.

  • Automatic Summary: After the interview, the AI will analyze the transcription and generate a summary highlighting key points and essential information from the conversation.

  • Easy Access: The full transcription and summary of the candidate's interview will be saved in Teamdash under the candidate's profile. You can find them by navigating to the Interviews tab and then clicking on Transcripts.

  • User Access: Admin and regular users access the Transcripts under the Interviews tab on the Candidate profile. Limited user access is inherited from being a project member.

Access rights follow restrictions set by:

    • project confidentiality settings

    • projects scoped by Teams hierarchy settings

FAQ

If I've enabled AI transcription but the candidate does not give permission for it, can I disable the transcription?

If AI transcription is enabled in Teamdash but the candidate does not give permission for it, you can manually stop or disable the transcription during the meeting in Microsoft Teams. To do this:

  1. Go to the meeting controls in Microsoft Teams.

  2. Click on the "More actions" (three dots) button.

  3. Select "Stop transcription" from the dropdown menu.

This will stop the transcription for the remainder of the meeting.

How accurate are the AI-generated transcriptions?

While AI transcriptions are highly accurate, they may occasionally require manual review for clarity, especially in cases of poor audio quality or heavy accents.

What if my preferred language is not available for the interview?

If your preferred language is not listed among the available options, you can still conduct the interview in your language. After the interview, the transcript will be available in your language on Teamdash.

You can find the list of languages currently supported by Microsoft Teams here.
