Project Stages
The project stage is the column in your project view that represents a certain activity stage in your recruitment process.
By default, Teamdash offers you the following project stages: Submissions, Video interviews, Interviews, Offer, and Dropped out.
Project stages are always open. You can edit the names, add more stages, and create different project stages for different open positions. You can quickly edit and alter the project stages (columns) as needed.
As the stages can vary between different projects, Teamdash enables a unified way of reporting by Stage Categories.
Stage Categories
Stage categories help you to organize different stages for reporting and analytics. By default, Teamdash offers you the following stage categories: Submissions, Interviews, Offers, Hired, and Dropped Out.
E.g. you can create project stages like Phone Call, Home task, Interview with manager, and they can be all categorized under Interviews.
The unified way of having categorized project stages helps Teamdash to offer correct conversion rates between categories. The candidate progression widget under the reports module in Teamdash offers a quick overview of the conversions and source performance based on stage categories.
Depending on your recruitment processes, the default stage categories might need some customization. You can customize your categories under Reporting → Stage categories for further setup:
Things to consider
Categories have to be in the correct order: Submissions, Interviews, Offers, Hired, Dropped out. When adding a new stage category, it has to be placed correctly, meaning that if the category field is Interviews, it has to be between Submissions and Offers categories, as seen in the picture above.
Adding new stage categories changes project setups for the whole instance. This will affect everyone's projects.
If you have existing projects, there will be a need to assign your new categories to existing stages. As you are changing the default settings, Teamdash AI is able to help you with categorizing your stages.
To do this, go to Reporting → Stage categories → Uncategorized stages. Teamdash AI suggests a category for every uncategorized stage, and also lists stages that may be in the wrong category under Potentially miscategorized stages. Click ✓ to accept a suggestion, use the arrow to pick another category, or click Apply all suggestions:
You can always switch back to Teamdash default stages. The default settings are memorized.
