The Microsoft 365 integration connects your Microsoft account to Teamdash in one place. It replaces the three separate Microsoft integrations we offered before – MS Calendar Schedule, Microsoft Teams calls and MS Office messages sync. When you set it up, you simply choose which capabilities you want to use.
What can you do with it?
Interview scheduling – see your Outlook availability (and your colleagues' busy slots) in the Teamdash scheduler, and have interviews created as real events in your Outlook calendar.
Email sync – emails exchanged with candidates in Outlook appear on the Messages tab of their candidate profile.
Video calls – create Microsoft Teams meeting links for interviews and quick calls straight from Teamdash, with optional AI transcripts and summaries.
You can turn on one, two or all three capabilities and change your choice later by editing the integration.
Before you start
Each user connects their own Microsoft account. One user can have one active Microsoft 365 integration.
Depending on your organization's Microsoft settings, an administrator may need to approve the permissions before the integration works. Share Permissions for Microsoft 365 with your IT team – it lists exactly which permissions each capability requires.
How to set up the integration?
Go to Teamdash Settings and open Integrations.
Click + Add integration.
Choose the type Microsoft 365.
Give the integration a name – a friendly reference that is only seen internally.
Select the capabilities you want to use: Interview scheduling, Email sync and/or Video calls.
Check the additional options if needed (see below).
Click Save. If Microsoft needs your consent, you'll be redirected to sign in and approve the permissions. If you're already signed in to Microsoft and the permissions have been granted before, the integration is saved straight away.
That's it – you have now set up the Microsoft 365 integration!
Additional options
Interview scheduling
Read-only calendar access – Teamdash only reads your availability and meeting rooms and never writes to your Outlook calendar. Interviews are sent as Teamdash calendar invitations by email, and changes made in Outlook are not synced back. This option can't be combined with AI transcripts.
Skip User.ReadBasic.All – use this if your organization doesn't allow Teamdash to look up other users in your directory.
More than 100 meeting rooms – select this if your organization has over 100 meeting rooms, so that all of them are listed.
Video calls
AI-powered transcripts and summaries – generate a transcript and summary from recorded Teams interviews. AI features must be enabled for your account. Read more in Interview Transcripts and Summaries.
Already using the Legacy Microsoft integrations?
Your existing MS Calendar Schedule, Microsoft Teams calls and MS Office messages sync integrations keep working and can still be edited – they are now marked as legacy. New legacy integrations can no longer be created.
If you have both a legacy integration and the new Microsoft 365 integration, the new one takes priority. To avoid confusion, we recommend switching fully to Microsoft 365. Note that switching asks for new permissions (for example, calendar write access), so your IT administrator may need to approve them again.
