The cNPS survey form (Candidate Net Promoter Score) allows you to measure candidate satisfaction and gather feedback about your recruitment process.

It helps you understand how candidates feel about your communication, professionalism, and overall experience — whether or not they were hired.

What is cNPS?

cNPS stands for Candidate Net Promoter Score. It’s a widely used method to measure candidate experience in recruitment.

Candidates are asked one main question:

“How likely are you to recommend a friend or colleague to apply for a job with us?”

  • Candidates respond on a scale from 0 to 10.

  • Scores are grouped as:

    • Promoters (9–10) → very satisfied candidates.

    • Passives (7–8) → neutral candidates.

    • Detractors (0–6) → dissatisfied candidates.

Your overall cNPS is calculated as:

% Promoters – % Detractors = cNPS score

💡 The score ranges from -100 to +100.

💡 A higher score means better candidate experience. Scores above 0 are considered good, while scores above 50 are excellent.

When to use a cNPS survey form

You can send a cNPS survey to candidates at the end of the recruitment process — whether they were hired, rejected, or withdrew.

Typical use cases:

  • Measuring the overall candidate experience.

  • Collecting feedback for recruiters and the hiring team.

  • Identifying areas to improve in communication and process.

  • Tracking experience trends over time.

How to create a cNPS survey form

  1. Go to Forms section in the settings

    • From the left-hand menu, open Forms.

    • Click Create form.

  2. Choose form type

    • Select cNPS survey form.

    • Give your form a clear title (e.g., “Candidate Experience Survey”).

  3. Add survey fields

    • The main cNPS score field is included by default.

    • You can add more questions as you please.

  4. Customize settings

    • Choose if the form should allow anonymous responses.

    • Enable multiple languages if needed.

  5. Save the form

    • Once ready, click Save and the form will be available for use.

How to send a cNPS survey form

  1. The process is just like sending a message to a candidate.

  2. What is important is to add [survey] to your message and pick the right form you want to add from the dropdown.

  3. Send — the candidate will receive a link to complete the survey.

Viewing and using results

  • Candidate responses will appear in the project that they are in. To see more details, click the cNPS.

  • The cNPS score can be tracked across all candidates to measure your overall recruitment experience.

  • The average cNPS score across all candidates can also be viewed in the Reports tab.

Best practices

  • Send surveys to all candidates, not just those who were hired.

  • Act on the feedback — discuss results with your team regularly.

  • Track cNPS over time to measure improvement.
