The Collapse Empty Stages feature in Teamdash allows you to hide recruitment stages with zero candidates, keeping your dashboard clean and focused. With a single toggle, you can collapse or expand empty stages, and the system dynamically updates based on candidate activity. Manual overrides provide flexibility, ensuring you have full control over your pipeline view.

Benefits
Cleaner Dashboard: Collapsing empty stages reduces clutter, making it easier to focus stages with active candidates.
Dynamic Updates: Automatically collapses stages that become empty over time, keeping your view up-to-date without manual adjustments. Automatically expands stages if candidates are moved into stage (either manually or via automated stage action).
Flexible Control: Manual overrides let you expand or collapse specific stages, giving you tailored visibility.
Time-Saving: Quickly toggle between collapsed and expanded views to streamline navigation and review.
How to Use
When the “Collapse Empty Stages” toggle is turned on, all stages with zero candidates are automatically collapsed, displaying only the stage name vertically. The system dynamically checks for candidate activity, so if a stage becomes empty (e.g., candidates are moved or rejected), it will collapse automatically. Likewise if candidates move into an empty collapsed stage, it will expand automatically.
When toggled off, all stages expand fully. If you manually expand or collapse a specific stage, this action overrides the toggle setting until the toggle is switched again, at which point the system resets and re-applies the emptiness check.
Tips
Use for High-Volume Hiring: Enable the toggle for jobs with many stages to keep your pipeline view manageable.
Combine with Filters and sorting: Use Teamdash’s candidate filters and sorting options alongside this feature to focus on specific stages or candidate groups.
Leverage Manual Overrides: Manually expand stages for roles in early recruitment phases to visualize the full pipeline, even if empty.
Test Toggle Settings: Experiment with toggling on/off to find the best balance for your workflow, especially for dynamic pipelines.
