Teamdash makes file management easy by offering three default file types: CV, Candidate Photo, and Other Files. When a candidate applies with a CV, the system automatically recognises it and sorts it into the CV category. This ensures that recruiters can quickly find and access important candidate information.
Custom File Types
Additionally, recruiters can create custom file types in Teamdash. This allows recruiters to assign candidate-shared files to the correct file type, ensuring all documents are organised effectively.
Creating File Types
You can name new file types to suit your specific needs by going to the File Types menu in the settings.
To add new file types:
Click +Add file type
Name the file type
Click Save
All the named File types are found under the File Types menu
Requesting Specific Files via Candidate Forms
When designing candidate forms with the Form Builder, recruiters can request specific files and assign them directly to custom file types. By selecting a custom file type as the target field for file upload fields, any files submitted through the form will be automatically categorised under the designated file type.
FAQ
What happens when I delete a custom file type?
When you delete a custom file type, the system will ask for confirmation to ensure you want to proceed.
After deletion, all files that were previously assigned to that custom file type will remain in the system. However, they will be reclassified as "Other candidate file" instead of the custom type you had assigned.
This means that while no files are lost, they will no longer be organised under the deleted custom file type, and you may need to manage them accordingly.
